SPOTLIGHT ON SEASON UNDERWRITER: RANDIE LEWIS

It's a big understatement to say that an Underwriter makes a significant contribution to the nonprofit they support. The FWC is honored to recognize Randie Lewis, our

2021-2022 Season Underwriter, for her generosity and partnership!

FWC Season Underwriters are those who donate $10,000 or more during the year. Their large gifts are very important to the Board's and Staff's ability to plan ahead - even before a season begins. Underwriting helps ensure the continuation of concerts of the very highest caliber, and is also a wonderful way to connect with the choir at a personal level.

Randie earned a Masters in Vocal Performance from SMU, and sang Alto and Soprano with the Chorale for many seasons. (I’m always a bit in awe of those who have the range and ability to sing either part!) She also served as Choir President and on the Board of Directors. She no longer lives in the DFW area, but we are deeply grateful and inspired by her continuing support.

When I asked what drew her to the choir and why she gives, Randie shared: “As an individual who has upper-level musical degrees, I was looking for a community organization that brings high-quality, multi-generational musicians together to produce music equal to or above any collegiate or professional choir. FWC not only met, but exceeded my desires and expectations. I give because I believe in the mission that the choir has not just for musical excellence, but also its commitment to give back to the community through different projects. The most recent, the Schola Cantorum Project, partners the FWC with up-and-coming composers to make music available to schools where there is a lack of funding and

materials.”

The 2022-2023 season will be the FWC's 60 th Anniversary. We’re very proud of our legacy and are grateful to ALL donors who have contributed to it over the last 59 years.
